After nearly 10 years, it's time for elaramie to do other things and we will be shutting down the Laramie Message Board.

We would like to see Laramie Message Board and Laramie Classifeds continue and hope to hear from peoples, organizations, individuals, etc. who may be interested in stepping in. I'm sure that our friends at cismanagement.com would be willing to continue providing low priced hosting for these sites.

Please email us if you would like to continue the project and we will help make it possible. admin@elaramie.com

So, make it not so..

Joe, or Sid, or someone with more gumption than me.

Elaramie tells me that it is so, so I have to believe that it is.

So,,,

Free?

Ten bucks in my pocket, and I might consider taking it over.

I'll pay $10 and consider it well spent.

So, is anyone taking it over or is it going to be a thing of the past?

My vote is for Joe and/or Annie. All you need is a bit of Laramie savvy, and a bit of internet savvy.

SID????

Actually, a few is better than the one.... Didn't Spock say something like that on Star Trek 77? ;\)

Tis free to a good home for one who wishes it to continue.

Actually, it was "The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few". You are and always shall be..my friend...

I feel like I did when I had to work on a computer for the first time (Commadore 64)...I guess I'll figure it out as I go.

Question to all eLaramie folks out there, Joe and I are planning on keeping the site up, with some minor changes. Wanted to let everyone know that eLaramie is not going away.

However -- no one is posting, so I was wondering if anybody is out there anymore......

So, start and keep posting, eLaramie isn't going away.

I tried, but you're right; Seems to be a vacant hall.

Maybe we need a good-old controversy.

I'd like to know who set fire (with accelerants) to flowers and the wooden planter in front of my office at 3rd & Grand on Friday night.

Sorry, this little arson inflamed me a bit...just nowhere near as much as whoever killed my cat last month.

How you feeling? (Hot hot hot)

The Buster Poindexter lyrics are not quite
a Hallmark card, but they're not too bad?

"The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few"

Yes this is true, we should first consider the needs of the many other than the needs of few. Thanks for the post.

So.

Months later, Sid finds a moment to post a quick and very bad hot under the collar pun in response to Joe's apparent distress and the wit of the posters about whodunit in The Case of the Arsoned Flower Pot. btw, has anyone learned whodunit? (Was this as distressing to other occupants of the building as it was for Joe?)

Sid has had no time to investigate the changes in this forum.

So.

What is going on here? There are changes? Since I barely participate here, do I need to know about them?

Thanks!

Maybe Piet Hein can answer my question.....

MAJORITY RULE

His party was the Brotherhood of Brothers,
and there were more of them than of the others.
That is, they constituted that minority
which formed the greater part of the majority.
Within the party he was of the faction
that was supported by the greater fraction.
And in each group, within each group, he sought
the group that could command the most support.
The final group had finally elected
a triumvirate whom they all respected.
Now of these three, two had the final word,
because the two could overrule the third.
One of these two was relatively weak,
so one alone stood at the final peak.
He was THE GREATER NUMBER of the pair
which formed the most part of the three that were
elected by the most of those whose boast
it was to represent the most of most
of most of most of the entire state--
or of the most of it at any rate.
He never gave himself a moment's slumber
but sought the welfare of the greatest number.
And all the people, everywhere they went,
knew to their cost exactly what it meant
to be dictated to by the majority.
But that meant nothing-- they were in the minority.
